Empowered Parents University to Host Fathers Matter: Presence, Power, & Purpose Workshop
The East Orange School District invites parents and families to attend Fathers Matter: Presence, Power, & Purpose, an engaging workshop designed to explore the important role fathers and male guardians play in their children’s lives and overall family well-being.
The workshop will take place on Tuesday, November 10, 2026, at 6:30 p.m. at the East Orange Board of Education, Conference Room A, located at 199 4th Avenue, East Orange, NJ 07017.
Participants will explore ways to strengthen family relationships, encourage positive involvement, and build a stronger foundation for children’s success. The session will highlight the importance of fathers and male guardians being present, engaged, and supportive in their children’s lives while providing opportunities for meaningful discussion and connection.
The evening will feature guest speaker Dr. David Jefferson, Jr., Founder/Creator of Ready Set Grow Academy and Empowered Parents University. Parents and families can look forward to engaging conversations, opportunities to connect with other families, light refreshments, and exciting prizes.
Through initiatives like Empowered Parents University, the East Orange School District continues to promote family engagement and empower parents and guardians with the knowledge, resources, and connections needed to support student achievement and family success.
