The Empowered Parents University (EPU) is a district-wide family engagement initiative designed to equip parents, guardians, and caregivers with the knowledge, tools, and confidence to support student success at home, in school, and in the community.
Delivered by Ready Set Grow Academy and managed by the district's Family & Community Engagement team, EPU provides culturally responsive, research-based workshops that strengthen home-school partnerships, promote academic achievement, and empower families as educational advocates and leaders.
Program Goals
- Strengthen family engagement and collaboration between home and school.
- Equip parents with practical tools to support student achievement.
- Address topics such as mental health, communication, leadership, and financial literacy.
- Celebrate and empower diverse families as partners in education.
