The district’s annual Early Childhood's “Bring Your Parent to School Day” was an inspiring celebration of early learning, family engagement, and community partnership. Families across all Pre-K schools and community partner sites joined together to experience a day that truly highlighted the power of connection between home and school.
Parents had the opportunity to step into their children’s classrooms, participate in activities, and witness the hands-on learning that takes place each day. The joy and excitement were felt in every space—parents, principals, and staff alike expressed how meaningful it was to have district support and presence during this special event.
Photos captured from Benjamin Banneker Academy, Edward T. Bowser Sr. School, Zadie’s Head Start Program, J. Garfield Jackson Sr. Academy, and Althea Gibson Academy showcased the heart of this initiative—smiling faces, meaningful interactions, and classrooms filled with creativity and learning. Each site beautifully reflected the dedication of teachers, the enthusiasm of students, and the commitment of families to early education.
This day served as a reminder that when families and schools come together, our youngest learners thrive. The collaboration across all Pre-K sites continues to reflect our district’s mission of fostering strong partnerships that nurture both academic and social growth from the very start.
