EOSD Respected in the Project SEED Research Program

We take immense pride in the achievements of our East Orange Campus High students, Miss Mekiah Clark and Mr. Gerard Espinoza-Soto. Both scholars represented the East Orange School District in the Project Summer Experiences for the Economically Disadvantaged (SEED) Research program. This summer-long, nationwide initiative, sponsored by the American Chemical Society, offers a Science Research pathway to students hailing from economically disadvantaged communities.

Mekiah and Gerard stood out among their peers, earning recognition as two of the top 12 participants at the event. They worked under the expert mentorship of Dr. Nadia Khan from Seton Hall University and received valuable guidance from Mr. Anthony Menzel, a dedicated Chemistry teacher at East Orange Campus High School.

The symposium brought together student participants from all corners of the state. We extend our congratulations to Mr. Menzel, Mekiah, and Gerard for their remarkable achievement!
