Vision
The East Orange School District Science Curriculum will provide a challenging 21st-century learning environment, which optimizes individual potential and ensures all students and the community are educated through a differentiated inquiry-based science program, which promotes student mastery of the New Jersey Student Learning Standards (NJSLS) - Science.
Mission
The mission of the East Orange School District Science Program is to provide all students with opportunities to learn science and be successful at problem-solving, critical thinking, making inferences, constructing/designing solutions from evidence, and communicating information. Through investigations of natural phenomena, students will develop theories and build models and systems, by utilizing science and engineering practices. We will inspire every child to explore and excel in science through a rigorous academic STEM program.
